I discovered this hairstyle randomly when I was getting ready for a date. If you have short hair this is super easy to do. It also lasts a couple of days with dry shampoo. If I can do it anyone can, let's get started shall we?
What you'll need:
1. Mousse
2. Blow dryer
3. Bobby pins or hair pins (to section hair)
4. Hair straightener
6. Mythic oil
Steps:
1. Wash hair: After getting out of the shower put a pump of mousse into your hand. Work it through your wet hair for volume! I use Bumble and Bumble Full Form Thickening Mousse.
2. Dry hair: Tilt your head upside down & blow-dry the ends. Once the ends are somewhat dry pull your hair into sections & blow-dry from the root of the hair down. This helps create more volume!
3. Create sections: Section your hair after blow-drying. I do two sections & I leave my bangs out in the front. Then take about an inch thick of hair to get ready to curl. Before you curl your hair, spray the section with heat protector. I use TIGI Catwalk Heat Protector.
4. Curl: Take your section & your hair straightener. Start at the top near the root of your hair, twist the straightener down your hair like you are curling a ribbon. Repeat through sections until your whole head is curled.
5. Style: Once you're done curling your hair shake your head around three times to loosen the curls. Then take your Mythic Oil & put a couple of drops into your hand. Then work it throughout the curls & your hair.
6. Final product: Spray curls with hair spray & you're ready to go!
Wasn't that easy? I hope this helps all the curious shorthaired girls! If you have any tips for curling short hair, leave them below. I would love to hear!
Hope everyone has a great week.

ReplyDeleteJess, you can totally do it with a straightener! Like I said If I can do it anyone can. But your hair always looks great anyway!
